Elizabeth Palmer, OTD, MEd, OTR/L

Elizabeth (Liza) Palmer is a licensed occupational therapist with over 20 years of experience working with children and adults in a wide range of settings. Her approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, creativity, and the belief that meaningful activity can restore confidence, independence, and joy in daily life.

Liza holds a Doctor of Occupational Therapy from Chatham University, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and an additional Master of Science in Administration with a concentration in Health Advocacy from Trinity Washington University. She currently serves as the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for the University of Southern Maine’s Occupational Therapy program, where she teaches graduate-level courses and mentors future therapists.

Her professional background spans pediatric, neurological, and orthopedic rehabilitation, as well as international outreach, having presented and volunteered in global health projects serving refugee and underserved populations across the world.

At Baxter Occupational and Physical Therapy, Liza brings her extensive experience, warm communication style, and educational expertise to help patients of all ages rediscover confidence, movement, and participation in the activities that make life meaningful.
